NCNW Section Chartered in Tri-County Area

The Tri-county Section of National Council of Negro Women, Inc. was Chartered in the Lake, Sumter, and Marion Counties in June 2024. Ms. Shaun Wethington Section President. The section was started with twenty nine members which made history for this area. The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) was founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. NCNW's mission is to led, advocate for and empower of African descent, their families and communities.
